Interior Painting

Details matter when painting the interior of your home. Preserve Services will take the care and time to protect your home during the painting process, help you determine your needs to achieve the look you want for your home.

Preserve Services has a General Contractor’s license, registered as Home Improvement Contractor by the state of Massachusetts (license number 123553). We carry General Liability Insurance and Workers Compensation Insurance.

Our painting process, step-by-step:

1 Set Up

To prepare your home for painting we use tarps and canvas drop cloths to collect paint chips and splatters, and cover all furniture, floors, countertops and decorative elements to protect from damage. We will isolate the rooms to be painted with plastic sheeting to prevent dust and debris from soiling the rest of your home. If your home was built prior to 1978 we will follow EPA Renovate Right guidelines.

2 Preparation

Preparation is key to creating the best surface for a long-lasting interior paint job. We will work with you to determine what level of preparation is needed to achieve the look you want for your home. That can include scraping, and sanding, skim coat plastering, removing wallpaper, filling nail holes and cracks.

3 Repairs

Preserve Services will examine all areas in need of repair and work with you to determine all carpentry repairs.

4 Priming

Priming the prepared surface readies it for paint, allowing the paint to create a stronger bond to the surface. Using the right primers is key to the longevity and appearance of your home. Preserve Services has the expertise to select the correct primer to suit your home’s surfaces.

5 Painting

Preserve Services will work with you to achieve the look you want for your home and suit your budget. We will advise you on the number of coats needed to create an attractive and long-lasting interior paint job. We will determine with you what method of application, such as painting with a roller, brush or sprayer, fits your home and budget best. We use only the best paints in the market, such as Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams, and C2.

6 Job wrap

We will thoroughly inspect the finished job with you to ensure your satisfaction and touch up areas that need some extra care.

Our crews will leave your home clean, neat, and free of toxic materials. Paint chips and dust will be mopped and dusted with damp cloths and disposed of responsibly. We replace all furniture, fixtures, cover plates and wall art to their proper place. If your home was built prior to 1978 we will follow EPA Renovate Right standards for clean-up. We will meet with you to ensure your satisfaction with the job.

Preserve Services has painted our house inside and out multiple times. Each time, the crews have done an outstanding job while being very respectful of our property. We appreciate not only how quickly and neatly they work but also the clean-up they do at the end of each day. We continue to use Preserve Services and recommend them without any hesitation at all!
